Keeping My Promises

Hello there,

Okay - i do keep some of my promises, when i remember too. Most of the time i do have to be reminded. It has been well over a month since i blogged! I know its terrible, i could say that i have been super busy and not had time to sit and blog but the truth is ive hardly turned my laptop on and i cannot get my head around blogging from my ipad. I have also been trying to think of things to write about, and working out how to add pictures and the best things to do to make my blog look all professional without it costing me anything.

One thing i can promise is i am trying my very hardest to make my blog bigger and better :D And as of January 2014! i shall be blogging at least 2/3 times a week!! Although you can keep your eyes peeled for a few reviews and christmassy blogs in the next few weeks as there will be alot going on :)

And on another note IM 21!!! Not that it feels any different, and im pretty certain birthdays get pretty boring the older you get so again nothing exciting. So here's to 2014! and making my blog the best it can be (fingers crossed)

Until next time....s

*LOVE OF THE WEEK* (ON TIME)

Hey there,

Its Sunday! And im on time with a love of the week yippeee!!
There actually isn't anything i've been overly in love with this week - I've mainly been trying to think of things to write on my blog, practicing doing make up (not a pro just yet) and being a mummy! So this week has been pretty boring (sorry for the disappointment lol) the weather has been terrible so ive definately NOT been loving that.

So just to make a relatable post i will make my love of the week a makeup item :) And this week it has been my Barry M concealer pen - its amazing! I have dark circles under my eyes that always need covering up, and this is a life saver in making all of my face match! i dont have time to put a full face of makeup on every morning (unless i wake up uber early) so a bit of concealer, mascara and lipgloss or whatever works perfectly :D

I did try avon concealer stick but i have really dry skin and it comes out quite powdery rather than creamy so it doesnt work at all - and now i am on a mission to find the perfect foundation and skin care routine for my face, so it isnt obvious that i have super dry patches. Theres quite a few things i want to try out but its managing to save up the money to go and buy them which is a problem - so i might just add it onto my birthday/christmas list and hope people help me in expanding  my makeup collection ;)

Hope you enjoyed that post, and can maybe suggest your skincare routines for dry skin?? Or a foundation that made your skin look completely flawless??

Until next time...

The Parenting Life... (PART ONE)

Good Evening!

Seeing as this is a Life, Beauty & Mummy blog, i thought i would write a mummy blog post today.

Being a Mum IS a job. It is one of the hardest things to do ever, i've not had a "normal job" , all ive ever done in my life is school. I only ever had to look after myself and not really have to worry about anything else. When your in school the only thing you think of ever doing in your future is your dream job, or growing up and having a family of your own - thinking that you can pick and choose when you want to settle down and have kids. In some cases that is true, but then what happens if things dont go to plan??

I think this is exactly why i like to have things planned when it comes to birthdays and events etc. I like knowing in advance every tiny little detail, because having Liam was not planned it came as a massive shock and i definately was not at a point in my life where i was ready to settle down and have a child. Abortion is a very touchy subject nowadays - everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but abortion wasnt a choice for me, i dont think i could have ever lived with myself.

Anyway, when your at a young age no one ever tells you how difficult being a mum can be. Its not all lovely new baby smells, and loads of cuddles. Babies dont sleep alot and they are definately not happy all of the time! The first few days after i had liam was a massive learning curve for me - i had to do everything not just for myself but this tiny new life i had brought into the world. It was one of the most weirdest feelings ever! You are completely responsible for this tiny human being who cant do anything but cry, sleep, eat, puke and poop! because that is exactly what he did for the first few weeks.

Then theres the making of the bottles; making sure they are sterilised and clean, that there is the right amount of powder to the water, and that it isnt too hot. Making sure that they are warm/cool enough - and the complete worry of every mum that you are doing everything wrong!
For every new mum out there, your not doing wrong, your not hurting your baby by putting their babygros on and taking them off. YOU ARE DOING AN AMAZING JOB!

I was quite lucky in the sense that i had so much support from friends/family and i was still living at home, but what i do know is there are plenty of young/old mums out there who dont have support from their family or friends, and if you are one of those people then find someone to talk to whether it be your health visitor or maybe there is a local mother & baby group you could go to so you can make new friends in the same situation as you. There will always be someone around to listen to your worries, and help in your new journey to being the most brilliant mum ever!

Babies dont come with an instruction manual, they dont have a mute button or different settings. No one ever tells you about the pains after the birth of your child, the sleepless nights, the teething, the worries, the baby jabs, potty training, first days of school/nursery/playgroup. All kids will learn at their own pace..

I am in no way a parenting expert by the way! Ive had one child not a million! I'm just writing this blog in hope that i will help some mums out there who are worried about becoming a parent and to let everyone know you are not alone, there will be other people in the same situation as you. Becoming a mum was the best thing i have ever done in my life, i may have put on a bit of weight, got a few stretch marks along the way but i will always know whatever i do is for my child, and i am no longer that selfish teenager but a MUM a very proud one at that..& talking to other mums helps alot with confidence and reassuring me that everything is normal, im not doing anything wrong and that i am not ALONE!

Look out for PART TWO coming soon....
Until next time...

*LATE LOVE OF THE WEEK*

Hello there....

Okay so its well over a week since my last love of the week, because i have completely forgotten about my blog. Apologies, and i will try not to forget again - to make up for it i will do more than one blog post today :)

This week i have been loving "Jeremy Kyle"

There are so many people that either love or hate this programme, but honestly i look forward to it. I drop liam off at playgroup at 9am and i get back home around 9:20am which gives me just enough time to make some breakfast &  put on ITV to tune in. Sounds so sad, but parenting does that to you, just for that 1hr of peace and quiet listening to other peoples problems and even though i shouldnt, i laugh at most of them. Some of the people who go on there are just plain stupid! and then there are others which i can relate to , i dont know what makes these people go on to the programme, and why they cant sort their own problems out but hey ho! Desperate times call for desperate measures?? something like that

Short and sweet love of the week! What is everyone elses opinions on Jeremy Kyle ?? Are you a lover or a hater??

Until next time...

*LOVE OF THE WEEK*

Hello There...

And so i come to my first proper post a love of the week, i will most probably post on a sunday about the one product, tv programme, anything that i have used alot during the week.

My first love of the week is the new Maybelline baby lips lip balm- i had to buy it as it was new and new things excite me! Especially when it comes to makeup or stationary and even better when its cheap or half price - its like it calls me to buy it!

I got this in my local boots for £2.99

Anyway i bought the baby lips in the pink punch colour. Absolutely love the packaging, and the whole look of it just appealed to me. I was originally looking for the peach kiss one but boots only seemed to have the pink one or the purple one - and me being me headed straight for the pink, it just stood out more. I didnt want to use it at first it was so new, and clean and perfect - but with most things i buy i never want to open them when they look so nice, prim and proper.

I use it at least 3 or 4 times in the day, i just love the way it feels and the colour it leaves isnt too bright to be a lipstick and isnt too light that it leaves no colour - its just perfect!! It says it has 8hr moisture but i dont believe that, although i do have quite dry lips so it may take a lot more of me using it for it to last that long.

And that's that - short and sweet love of the week. Hmm...i wonder what my love of the week will be next time??

Much love....

**Everything i may review is my own opinion of the product i am not paid to do this and my blog is 100% voluntary. What i will say is most of the things i will buy or review are things that i have heard alot about, and are popular.

Inspiration & Moving on...

Hello there...

Welcome to my blog!

Soooo, clearly im hoping you have read my previous posts - not just because its my blog and i want you to read it! But so you can know more about me, my story, my life :)

Why have i left it so long to blog you may ask???
Well.. life has been in the way, that is the only way i can answer it haha. ALOT has happened too much to write! We've moved house, liam has started playgroup (twice) and the usual day to day life stuff.

The last couple of months i have spent most of my evenings (and daytimes ocassionally...) on YouTube and bloglovin being completely and utterly obsessed with youtubers.. after complaining to my sisters about constantly going on about them i gave in and watched a few videos...then a few more...then subscribed...then followed...then became obsessed! BLAHHH!!

-SprinkleOfGlitter
-TanyaBurr

-Zoella

^^ Those three are the main reason, i suppose my inspiration to start blogging again - if they can do it so can i *POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE* i instantly became connected to them when i watched their videos like they were my friends in a way. There are so many more youtubers that i am subscribed too, and will not miss a new video - constantly waiting for their upload day (i will save those for a whole other post about my obsession)

So lets just hope in a few months, years or whatever my blog can be as big as theirs!!

And i highly highly recommend that you go and check their youtube channels out and go read their blogs because they are absolutely amazing!!!

Much love..
